Specifications
Light duty
MineAlpine pulleys for light-duty applications come in two main designs and a wide range of sizes. In drive-pulley models, the shell is fixed to the shaft by means of an extremely precise, self-centralizing locking assembly. In tail-end and bend-pulley models, the shell rotates around the shaft on quality bearings secured in deep-drawn end caps. The design gives superior stress relief and a threefold increase in load bearing capacity, compared with conventional welded pulleys.
| Models | Shaft diameter mm | Tube diameter mm | Length |
| Locking-element pulleys | 40-60 | 220-400 | 400-1150 |
| Dead-shaft pulley | 40-50 | 220-400 | 400-1150 |
Medium duty
MineAlpine pulleys for medium-duty come in three main designs and a wide range of sizes. Drive and tail-end pulleys are available in both welded and locking-element designs, with the shaft ends always customized. Tail-end and bend pulleys, including wing pulleys, are also available in the dead-shaft design, which gives superior stress relief and a threefold increase in load capacity, compared with conventional welded pulleys.
| Models | Shaft diameter mm | Tube diameter mm | Length |
| Welded pulleys | 40-140 | 270-1000 | 600-2200 |
| Locking-element pulleys | 40-140 | 270-1000 | 600-2200 |
| Dead-shaft pulleys | 40-100 | 250-1000 | 600-2200 |
Engineered pulleys
MineAlpine engineered pulleys are custom-built and made to order for heavy-duty applications. Usually produced in accordance with customers’ drawings, their precise designs are based on considerable know-how and experience optimized with the aid of 3D-CAD and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). In effect, this means that each pulley is tested virtually for stress, strain, deformation, thermal loading, vibration and noise under a wide range of conditions prior to manufacturing.
| Models | Shaft diameter mm | Tube diameter mm | Length |
| Locking-element pulleys | >140 | 1000-2800 | 1200-3600 |
MineAlpine offers a full range of high-quality lagging to increase the friction coefficient between the pulley and the belt. Normally essential for wet, sticky or icy conditions, the right choice of lagging can greatly improve transmission efficiency, improve guidance and prolong the lives of both the pulley and the belt. Available in various designs, different patterns and a range of materials, MineAlpine pulley laggings can improve the performance of almost any conveyor system.
Take-up devices
MineAlpine offers a wide range of horizontal and vertical take-up devices. Mostly pre-assembled and ready to install, they make it easy to maintain the pre-set belt tension for optimal load transportation with less slippage and reduced wear. Horizontal models, intended for conveyors up to 50 meters in length, are of the screw or bar type. Vertical models, borne on rigid carriages that exploit the free force of gravity, are available for belt widths up to 2200 mm as standard.
| Models | Type |
| Horizontal | Screw, Bar |
| Vertical | Carriage, Weight, Rope wheel |
